As many of you may not know back in the day I used to tour northern and central Califonia spreading God's word through rap music. This is my flow on the way home in my truck the other day. Just thought I would share.
As I sit back to reflect,
It's my turn to neglect,
So I reject the passivity,
It's crawling all over me,
Trying to pull me down,
First second third fourth down,
Critical state, now finally I can relate with all the people that have been down and out,
I'm about lifting them up filling the cup,
Bring the life, removing the knife that's cutting to the heart,
Rewind and restart,
Play the part that you were destined to play,
Don't stop your gifts and your callings,
Your passions and desires,
God placed them inside of you,
The last thing you need to do is retire,
Am I preaching to the choir,
Or do you know what I'm talking about,
It's like starving, not eating, living in a drout,
Your getting thirsty but there's nothing to drink,
So you gotta stop and think,
Who's the miracle maker,
The one who can get me out of this,
That's the one I need to be calling on,
All the other voices can get out and be gone,
And don't come back your not invited,
I'm kicking you out for good,
I'm so excited,
It's giving me a lift, a boost, an eternal juice,
Put the noose to the neck of all the things that have been pulling me away,
From what I'm meant for,
And I'll guaranty you it was more than this,
I'm not talking about some bliss,
It's about putting on the signat ring,
And serving the one true king,
There isn't one thing that could take me away,
Life is serious its not some game you play,
Roll the dice and see what you get,
If their bad you don't camp out and pitch a tent,
You pick'em up and throw'em away,
And say I'm not leaving life to a chance,
Before this is through I'm gonna sing my song and dance my dance,
It's not the time to tractor beam hypnotic trance,
Shut off to the real world can't relate,
Stay focused and don't be late to your calling,
Never give up don't accept failing, unless its forward,
Improving your next shot,
Cause its all you got right now,
Make it count, swish, nothing but net,
If you miss get the rebound and take it back to the hole,
Drive into the paint and make your presence known,
It's time to set the record straight,
Let the defense know why you were born,
To make them look like they don't know the definition of their position,
Your mission dismantle their attack,
Then go out and bring people back from where they're lost,
So now they're found,
Save as many as you can before they drowned.
Don't let anything discourage you from your calling! Don't stop!
